Configuring 3D Capturing

In the 3D Config tab you can set options for 3D capturing and perform a performance check. Please note that options that affect the quality of the 3D rendering, such as shadow effect, will impact upon the performance of OnePad.

To configure 3D capturing, click and then the 3D Config tab.

3D Mode

  1. Select the Enable 3D Mode tickbox to render parts drawings in 3D.

    If the vehicle you are capturing damage for does not have 3D data, this option will be unavailable.

  2. Clear the Enable 3D Mode tickbox to switch to 2D capturing.

    You can also switch between 3D and 2D modes by clicking 3d_Toggle in the Toolbar.

Advanced Material Effects

  1. Select the Advanced Material Effects tickbox to enhance the rendering of parts, including shadows, lines and reflections.
  2. Clear the Advanced Material Effects tickbox to set rendering to default.

Shadow Effect

  1. Select the Shadow Effect tickbox to include the shadows cast by parts in the rendering of zone parts.
  2. Clear the Shadow Effect tickbox to remove the shadows.

Enabling 3D Tools Within the Scene

  1. Select the 3D Tools Within the Scene tickbox to display the Toolbar containing buttons for zooming, panning and resetting the parts drawing to its default.
  2. Clear the 3D Tools Within the Scene tickbox to hide the Toolbar.

Doing a Performance Check

  1. Click Performance Check to test your machines capability to render drawings in 3D. Depending on the results of the test, OnePad will automatically adjust rendering for the best quality/speed ratio.
