Select a hail formula from the Selected Value Set drop–down box.
If you wish to print the number of dents in the calculation select the Print Dents tickbox.
➀ By default, this is disabled. If you enable it, the number of dents will also be visible in the calculation preview.
Click OK to confirm your selections and close the dialog box.
Additional Configuration Options
- Default dent percentage - enter the percentage of dents that are greater than 20mm.
➀ This information is used to compare the costs of repairing using the chosen hail formula against the costs of pre-pressing and painting dents Click for an example.
Additional Configuration Options - Hail Expert Formula Only
- Preparation Time for Each Vehicle (6 WU) - select this tickbox to add extra work units for preparation time to all hail damaged parts by default.
- Part Preparation (2.5 WU) - select this tickbox to add extra work units for part preparation to all hail damaged parts by default.
➀ For each hail damaged part you can choose whether to select or clear either tickbox. This will override the default setting. ➁ If you change either option in the Settings dialog box, it will only be applied to uncaptured parts.
Notes:
- If you change the hail formula during a damage capturing session, the system will warn you that if you do so all previous positions that you have applied the dent repair method to will be deleted: Warning - on acknowledging these changes to the configuration, all previous dent positions will be deleted.
- You can set a hail formula as the default formula for all future capturing sessions by selecting the Use as Default tickbox. You can select and use a different formula for a capturing session but this will not change the default formula.
- You cannot configure a hail formula for caravans in the Settings dialog box.
