Selecting Model Options Using the Model Options Tab

For Dynamic Display models, you can use the Model Options tab to select model options. OnePad uses a key to differentiate between single model options, mutually exclusive model options and groups of model options. Refer to the table below for more information.

Explanation of Button

single mo

Single model option. If you click the model option, the symbol changes to selected mo.

either or selection

Mutually exclusive model option. If you click one of the model options you cannot select any of the other model options in the block. The button for the selected model option changes to full radio button.

expandable menu

Group of model options. Clicking the triangle expands the group. Clicking the triangle once again hides the options. If you select a model option from a group, the system shows this by full radio button and fills the triangle filled triangle.

  1. Navigate to a vehicle zone. Refer to Navigating to a Vehicle Zone for more information.
  2. Click the Model Options tab.
  3. If necessary, click hidden options in the toolbar to toggle the display of all possible model options. The button changes to sub-model options for other models.

    When you click hidden options in the Toolbar, the system displays the model options for all of the other vehicle sub-models. You can also use this button therefore to find a part. For example, If you have selected a model option, for example, a 3-door version and you are unable to find a particular part, you can click sub-model options for other models in the Toolbar to view all of the model options, for example for a 5-door version. You can then place the mouse cursor over the model option in the tab to see if it includes the part you are looking for.

  4. Hover the mouse cursor over the desired model option in the tab. Respective parts will display in the Vehicle Drawings Panel with blue shading.
  5. Click the model option to select it. The shading of the part(s) changes to reflect the material properties of the part. Click here to read more information about material properties.
  6. You can now select the part and assign repair and paint types. Refer to Selecting and De-selecting Repair and Paint Methods for more information.

Notes:

- If the Vehicle Drawings Panel is empty with no parts shown, the system will prompt you to select a model option from the Model Options tab by displaying the following message: This is a dynamic display model. As no appropriate model option is currently selected, no part is displayed in this zone. Please hover your mouse cursor or pen over a model option to show related parts. If only parts for other sub-models are shown, the system will also prompt you by displaying the following message: This is a dynamic display model. For the sub-model currently selected, no part is displayed in this zone. Click on the eye icon and then hover your mouse or pen over a model option to show related parts.

- You can of course make new sub-model and model option selections in the Model Options dialog box. Refer to Selecting Model Options and for more information.

- When you make a model option selection in the Model Options tab, the system also updates the list of selected model options in the Model Options dialog box.
