Configuring Vehicle Equipment

To configure the identified vehicle, you can select equipment added since first registration date. You can:

  • Select optional equipment
  • De-select standard equipment
  • Enter manual equipment
  • Select technical equipment

The system dedicates a tab to each type of equipment, with an Overview tab showing all of your equipment selections, de-selections, additions and movements, plus any equipment conflicts. For example, conflict in overview will display in the tab to draw your attention to the fact that some of your selections conflict. It is therefore always a good idea to view your selections in this tab before exiting the search tree. Doing so will help you save time by resolving conflicts, for example, before exiting. Refer to Reviewing Your Equipment Selections in the Overview Tab for more information about using this tab.

As you are configuring equipment for the vehicle, you will notice at the top of the page that the system displays three important prices:

  • Vehicle price at tariff date - this is the price of the vehicle according to the tariff date you selected when filtering the search results.
  • Equipment - this is the running total of equipment costs, updated each time you select a piece of optional equipment or add manual equipment.
  • Final price - this is the sum of the Vehicle price at tariff date plus the running total of equipment costs. This gives you a new vehicle price.

At any stage during the selection of equipment, you can click Accept to complete the configuration of vehicle equipment.

Notes:

- If you entered search criteria in the VALUEpilot page, this information will be copied to the new case. However, valuation results will not be copied.

- Vehicle owner details will only be copied if you select vehicle data.

- In your configuration you may be able to use the case number of the existing case also for the new case.

- When you click Accept, the system will check your selections against a number of rules. If there are any ambiguous model options or selection conflicts, the system will ask you to resolve these. Refer to Resolving Selection Conflicts and Ambiguous Model Options.

- If you want to call the Search Tree later, after having already identified a vehicle, you can jump straight to the configuration stage by clicking Configuration from the Vehicle Identification UST page.

- Once you have configured vehicle equipment, you cannot modify the values used to search for the vehicle without losing all of your equipment selections. If you return to the search stage, the system will warn you that if you do so, you will lose all of your equipment selections. If you really do want to return to the search stage, click Continue in the Warning dialog box.
