Editing Standard and Non-standard Positions
Using the Update Existing Standard Position and Update Existing Non-standard Position dialog boxes, you can edit any standard and non-standard positions that you have captured. This includes any positions you captured using part drawings. When editing position values, you have the option of using a keyboard pad and calculator pad. Click to open the calculator pad. You can also edit standard and non-standard positions in the Check-list. Simply open the Check-list and double-click on the position you wish to edit.
Standard Positions
It is not possible to edit the guide number or description of a standard position.
- Click the Standard Positions tab.
- Either double-click the position or right-click the position and click
Edit from the pop-up menu.➀ At the top of the dialog box you will see a list of any captured standard positions. The list includes the guide number, the applied repair method, a part description and whether the part belongs to the left or right-hand side of the vehicle. ➁ The system highlights the currently active position in the standard positions list. If you have selected more than one repair method for the position, the system also applies shading to distinguish between the currently active repair method and any other inactive repair methods. - Edit values, select repair and paint methods and mutations as required.
➀ To edit values for another position, first select the position from the list of standard positions at the top of the dialog box.
- Once you have finished editing values, click:
- OK to confirm.
- Cancel to close the dialog box and return to the list.
Non-standard Positions
- Click the Non-Standard Positions tab.
- Double-click the position you wish to edit. The Update Existing Non-standard Position dialog box displays.
➀ To make selection easier, you can sort the list of NSPs by clicking a column header. For example, if you click the Rep. Type column the list of NSPs will be sorted by repair method in ascending order. Clicking the same column header will sort the NSPs by repair method in descending order.
- Edit values as required.
➀ You can clear all values and selections for the position by clicking Clear Values. ➁ You can add the NSP to the list of pre-defined NSPs by clicking Add Also to Pre-defined NSP List. ➂ To edit values for another non-standard position, first select the position from the list at the top of the dialog box and then modify selections and values as required.
- Once you have finished editing values, click:
- OK to confirm.
- Cancel to close the dialog box and return to the list.
