Using Fast Capturing

Fast Capturing allows you to set a default repair or paint method for a particular side of the vehicle. Once you have set defaults, the system will apply the repair/paint method to every part you subsequently click and always for the correct side of the vehicle. For example, you select left side and repair method E as your defaults, as shown.

If you now click a part, for example, a front door, the system will apply repair method E to the left-side front door. If you now click a front wing, the system will apply the same method to the left-side wing.

OnePad will inform you if the default repair method is not available for the part you clicked or if it does not feature on the default vehicle side. Before using Fast Capturing you must first set a default vehicle side and repair/paint method. The default is noSide and noLock. To turn-off Fast Capturing you must re-select noSide and noLock.

  1. From the Repair Panel, select a side and a repair/paint method. The cursor changes to cursor.
  2. Click a part. The system automatically applies the repair/paint method to the correct vehicle side.

Note: If you do not see the fast capturing options, you may need to turn fast capturing on. You do this in the User Settings tab of the Settings dialog box. Refer to Configuring User Settings for more information.
