Resolving Conflicts

Whenever you select a part, OnePad ensures that the part is plausible and makes sense according to your model option selections. In OnePad, any parts that are implausible are shaded blue, as shown in the following example. This helps you to differentiate between plausible and implausible parts.

If you select a part that is implausible, a conflict occurs. For example, if you select an air-conditioning filter for a vehicle that does not have air-conditioning selected as a model option, a conflict will occur. When a conflict occurs, the Conflict dialog box displays, informing you of the nature of the conflict. You can then choose how to resolve the conflict.

Deselect the Part

  1. From the Conflict dialog box, click Cancel. The selected part is automatically de-selected.

Select a New Model Option Combination

To resolve the conflict, the system may ask you to select a new model option combination.

  1. Simply double-click a combination from the list presented.

Remove Existing Model Option Combination and Related Parts

To resolve the conflict, the system may ask you to remove conflicting model option combinations and related parts.

  1. Click OK to remove any model option combinations and related parts shown in the Conflict dialog box.

Manual Type Mutation

To select a part that is otherwise implausible without changing the assessment vehicle sub-model and model option selections or de-selecting model options and parts, you can perform a manual type mutation. This allows you to change the sub-model and model options for a single part. Changes are only applied to the individual implausible part; your sub-model and model option selections in the Model Option dialog box will not be affected.

  1. Click TM Mutation in the Conflict dialog box.
  2. If necessary make changes to the model option and sub-model options that the system has automatically selected for you.
  3. Click:

    - OK to confirm selections.

    - Cancel to return to the previous dialog box.

Note: You cannot perform a manual type mutation when capturing damage for caravans.
