Adding Standard Positions
Standard positions are parts and repair jobs stored in the OnePad database.
- Click the Standard Positions tab.
- Click
. The Insert a new standard position dialog box displays. - Enter a valid guide number in the Guide no. field. The system displays the part description in the Description field.
- Select a repair / paint method from the Repair method drop-down box.
- Click:
- OK to add only this position.
- OK+ if you wish to add this position and add further positions.
Notes:
- Once added to the system, you can edit standard and non-standard positions. Refer to Editing Standard and Non-standard Positions for more information. For standard positions, you can also apply values to multiple positions in a single operation. Refer to Assigning Values to Multiple Standard Positions.
- You can sort the positions displayed in the Standard Positions tab. You might, for example, wish to sort positions by repair type or guide number. To sort positions, click a column header. You can click the column header a second time to change the sorting order for that column. When you return to the tab, the system remembers your sort preferences.
- If you have enabled interactive cost optimisations and the cost associated with your repair method selection exceeds a given threshold, the system will ask you whether you want to perform an optimisation. You also have the opportunity to override work units by entering a new value in the Alternate Work Units field. For more information about configuring cost optimisations, see Configuring Cost Optimisations.
- Depending on the repair method selected and the configuration of OnePad, it may be necessary to complete further steps to add a standard position.
